Birthdays

Your child is turning seven – and suddenly it’s time to plan a birthday party full of fun, friends, and fast feet. Feeling the pressure already? Don’t worry. A great party doesn’t need to be picture-perfect. It just needs joy, some wiggles, and a little help from a plan that works for both kids and grown-ups.
Start with the birthday hero’s wish list
Seven-year-olds have big opinions. That’s part of the fun! So before you start planning, ask your child what kind of party they’d love. Dinosaurs? Disco? Just free play with a gang of best buddies?
Sometimes their answers are wonderfully simple: “I just want to run around and eat popcorn.” Great! When the party reflects what your child actually wants, the whole vibe becomes more relaxed – and much more fun.
Keep the schedule simple – 2 to 3 hours is plenty
You don’t need a full-day program. A clear, short party with a start, a middle, and a happy end is the sweet spot. Think two to three hours: enough for excitement without the meltdown.
Start with active play, pause for snacks, and wrap up with presents or a calmer moment like a group game. Keeping the flow helps everyone enjoy the fun without burnout.
